Michael Farrell
Michael Farrell has been a professor of art history and founder of the Honors Art History Program at the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, since 1968. He has also taught for Central Michigan University and the College for Creative Studies, and in the past has served as adjunct education curator at the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Historical Museum. He has lectured at the Chatham Cultural Center, Chatham, Ontario; the Art Gallery of Windsor; the Philbrook Museum, Tulsa, Oklahoma; both the Birmingham and Montgomery Museums of Art in Alabama; the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and the Staten Island Institute of Arts, among others. Professor Farrell has conducted tours of Europe and the United States since 1974. He has also lectured for the Radisson Diamond University of the Sea. Professor Farrell believes that there is a profound difference between looking and seeing. In his entertaining and inspiring classroom format, the difference becomes apparent.
